BURSZTYN – The Noble Taste of Time
Bursztyn is a true gem among aged cheeses, captivating with its changing flavors, aromas, and texture depending on the length of aging.
- 6-Month Bursztyn: A younger version of the cheese with a delicate and soft texture. The flesh remains elastic, and its pale yellow color highlights its freshness. The taste is enhanced by subtle spiciness, with noticeable hints of nuts and plums. Perfect for light dishes or as a snack.
- 12-Month Bursztyn: The cheese gains more character – becoming firmer and more aromatic. The first white amino acid crystals start to appear, offering a pleasant crunch. The taste intensifies with spicy notes and dried plums. The color turns to a deep yellow. Excellent for pasta or as part of a cheese board.
- 15-Month Bursztyn: The texture becomes crumbly, and the flesh takes on a caramel hue. Noticeable amino acid crystals and an intense sweet-spicy flavor profile make this version ideal for elegant appetizers or pairing with dry wines.
- 24-Month Bursztyn: The most mature version of Bursztyn – with a noble, brittle texture, an intensely amber color, and a fragrance full of depth.
